
The Township of Nutley’s Department of Public Affairs has initiated its warming center protocol in the event winter storm Nemo causes power outages and other emergencies.
Those who may need to come to the warming center, located at the Department of Public Affairs, 149 Chestnut St, are asked to contact the Nutley Police Department. Police personnel will notify staff . Be prepared to bring blankets, pillows, cell phones, and any medication you are taking.
Residents are encouraged to fully charge their cell phones now. Also, residents are encouraged to contact the Department of Public Affairs if medication requires refrigeration in the event of a power failure. Township employees will come to homes and transport medication to the health department.
Pet owners are encouraged to keep their pets home (if possible). However, in the event the safety of your pet is in question, the township will provide shelter.
