Nutley Woman Dies From Injuries in Route 3 Crash

The wrong-way driver on Route 3 who reportedly caused the death of an elderly man in May has died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to published reports.

Authorities said the 80-year-old Rutherford man died shortly after 11:30 p.m. on May 26 when the driver, later identified as 44-year-old Nutley resident Christine Caruso struck the car with her sports utility vehicle. The Nutley Times reported that Caruso died on June 5.
