Nutley Officials Announce Operation Welcome Home
Program is meant to help welcome veterans return home.
Today, Commissioner Steven Rogers announced that the Nutley Department of Public Affairs, Military & Veterans Affairs Bureau has launched “Operation Welcome Home,” a program designed to provide “big welcome home events to Nutley’s returning veterans.
Rogers, who founded the Military & Veterans Affairs Bureau last year, said Operation Welcome Home is designed to provide respectful, thoughtful and uplifting homecomings for Nutley’s returning veterans and their families.
“It is important for us to show our utmost gratitude and support for all of our veterans who are returning fromtheir military service,” says Commissioner Steven Rogers.

The Commissioner said his staff was establishing protocols with the military and family members of Nutley veterans presently serving in fields of combat.
“I am requesting that all Nutley families who have, or know of, a Nutley resident who is presently serving in the military, and who will be returning home, to contact our office,” Rogers said in an email. "Once we have this information we will work closely with the family to ensure that their veteran friend or family member is provided the best welcome home ever."

Roger said itt is our honor and privilege to Welcome Home all Nutley veterans.
"The commitment we make is to provide a memorable, thankful, and honorable experience for our young men and women serving in the military,” Commissioner Rogers said.
