Belleville Taxes Due, Bridge Closings
Find out what's happening today in Belleville-Nutley.

- Belleville third quarter taxes are due today. The last day to pay without interest will be Monday August 12. Municipal office hours are monday through friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The office will be open on Monday August 5, until 8:00 pm. Taxpayers can also drop off payments in the payment drop box in the town hall vestibule.
- Throughout the month, the Rutgers Street Bridge in Belleville will be periodically closed to traffic to facilitate a clean-up of the Passaic river. Check here for the schedule.
- Starting in August, Belleville recycling pick up will change to single-stream (also known as “fully commingled” or "single-sort") system. All recyclables are placed in the same recycle bin. Pick up is on Wednesdays.
- On Thursday at the Nutley library, children can take part in a Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration is required for the scavenger hunt.
