Record-Setting Home Sale Sets ‘New Benchmark’ In Belleville
"Belleville is in the middle of a renaissance," a local real estate agent said.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — A new benchmark is about to be set for a home sale in Belleville, a real estate company announced this week.
Donna Keena, an agent with Christie’s International Real Estate Group, is on the cusp of breaking a Garden State Multiple Listing Service (GSMLS) record with a pending $975,000 sale at 93-95 Charles Street – which marks the highest multi-family price in the past three decades in Belleville, according to the firm.
The two-family home was built by brothers Michael and Gerry Pacillo, who are Belleville and Nutley natives.

Keena, a fourth-generation resident of the area with 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, said that Belleville’s “diverse, thriving, forward-looking mindset” is helping to push the record-setting sale across the finish line.
Keena also served as the exclusive listing agent for one of Belleville’s recent new development projects, Ethos on the Ave, a 56-unit luxury building.

“Belleville is in the middle of a renaissance,” Keena said. “This sale is not only a personal milestone but a testament to the positive growth and potential of our town.”
Keena offers some more selling points for people who are thinking about moving to the township on her website, showcasing some local insight that Mandy Lucia, Christie’s regional vice president for Essex and Passaic counties, said “played a crucial role” in the record-high sale.
“The charm of Belleville is not just in its future potential but also in its present beauty,” Keena writes. “Dubbed the Cherry Blossom capital, the town is a picturesque setting that rivals the famed blooms of Washington D.C. With each passing season, Belleville unfolds new delights, from verdant parks to bustling new developments, each adding a layer of allure to this dynamic town.”
