Recycling Changes for Belleville Residents, Nutley Library Programs

Throughout the month, the Rutgers Street Bridge in Belleville will be periodically closed to traffic to facilitate a clean-up of the Passaic river. Check here for the schedule. 

Starting in August, Belleville  recycling pick up will change to Single-Stream (also known as “fully commingled” or "single-sort") system. All recyclables are placed in the same recycle bin.

On Aug. 1 at the Nutley library, children can take part in a Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration is required for the scavenger hunt, so call today.
