Summer Is Here, Belleville-Nutley: See Local Weekend Weather Forecast

BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — The first day of summer arrives on Thursday, June 20. And 2024 is already set to bring a scorcher to the table in Belleville and Nutley, weather forecasters say.

Experts have been predicting a record-setting heat for the summer, with the season’s first heat wave set to arrive in the Garden State this week.

On Thursday, the thermometer is expected to hit 95 degrees in Belleville and Nutley, according to the National Weather Service. Here’s what forecasters are predicting for the rest of the week:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind 6 to 8 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 95. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 93.

Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 88.

Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 94.

Sunday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 76.
