'Tanning Mom' Allegedly Drunk at Airport, Sent to Detox
Nutley resident Patricia Krentcil not arrested after alleged incident at Minneapolis-St. Paul airport.

Nutley resident Patricia Krentcil, known mockingly as "the tanning mom" was sent to a detox facility after allegedly being intoxicated at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the Associated Press reported.
Airport police were called to the Delta ticket counter Thursday afternoon because Krentcil was intoxicated. While Krentcil was not arrested, she was taken to a detox facility for an unknown period of time.
Krentcil recorded her debut rap single, which opens with the tantalizing salvo "It's tan mom, b----," at a New York recording studio in late April and released it in May along with a promotional music video.

Krentcil's infamy began in April, 2012 when school officials noticed burns on her daughter's leg and reported the injuries to authorities. Following an investigation, Krentcil was arrested on April 24, 2012. Under New Jersey law, children under 14-years-old are banned from using tanning salons.
The relatively outlandish nature of the charges drew national media attention and turned Krentcil into a tabloid sensation. As gossip news outlets like Gawker have noted, she has parlayed her status into nightclub appearances, that have reportedly created mini-scandals of their own.
