Three Kings Day Is A Hit In Belleville; 2025 Celebration Draws Crowd
Belleville's annual celebration included community spirit, cars, camels and costumes.
BELLEVILLE, NJ — Three Kings Day was celebrated in Belleville this week with community spirit, bright smiles and – of course – gifts for the children.
The town’s popular, annual event took place on Monday. It featured a drive-through event with costumed dancers and festive floats at Belleville High School that captured the essence of the holiday, which is widely celebrated in many Central and South American countries. Another favorite of children of all ages – the camels – gnawed on hay and gave quizzical looks to the parade of cars.
Belleville’s celebration also came with a unique local twist for 2025: an appearance from La Befana, a witch-like old lady who brings gifts to children in Italian lore.

New Jersey Assembly members Carmen Morales and Michael Venezia, both of the 34th district, Belleville Mayor Michael Melham and council members Vinnie Cozzarelli, Frank Velez and Tracy Williams were also on hand to celebrate the occasion.
“I’ve seen this event continue to grow like a big snowball over the past few years,” Melham said. “For many of our residents, this is part of their culture. For them and many others, it’s also a night full of civic pride and community spirit.”
