Week Ahead for Belleville and Nutley

Noteworthy upcoming events in Belleville and Nutley.

Belleville’s Board of Education meets on Monday night at the Belleville High School Auditorium. Public session starts at 7 p.m.

Nutley holds its second “Cruisin’ at Nutley” event on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The weekly classic car show is free and takes place at Municipal Lot #1, at the intersection of Franklin Ave. and Williams Street.

The Belleville  Municipal Council meets at 7 p.m. at Council Chambers in Town Hall on Tuesday.

The Nutley Planning Board meets at 7 on Wednesday night in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Building on One Kennedy Drive. At the previous board meeting, members discussed the impact of the East Centre project on the township’s density, particularly in regards to schools. The agenda for this week’s meeting is not yet online.

Belleville police and officials offer a free three hour emergency training session called "Preparedness: A State of Readiness" at the Belleville High School Auditorium on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Nutley’s Board of Commissioners meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. night in the Commission Chambers of the Municipal Building on One Kennedy Drive The meeting was originally scheduled for May 21, but was rescheduled.

Nutley’s DPW shows off their high-tech equipment and vehicles during “big truck day Municipal Lot #1, at the intersection of Franklin Ave. and Williams Street on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.
