Walking, Cycling, Zoning and More in Store for Belleville and Nutley This Week
A look at noteworthy upcoming news and events.

On Monday at 6:30 p.m., Nutley kicks off the summer with its annual 5k walk in memory of Karen E. Gelormine. All donations will benefit the Waves for Water project. The walk starts at salonsi on 38 Union Avenue and goes to the Nutley Falls on Kingsland Avenue and back.
Tuesday's Nutley commission meeting is believed to include an update on the proposed major zoning issues in town, especially outlawing any new condos.
Also on Tuesday in Nutley, the Nutley Historical Society, the Township of Nutley and the Nutley Public Library will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the opening of the now defunct cycling track the Nutley Velodrome. Click here for a full schedule of events.

There will be a special public meeting of the Belleville Board of Education on Tuesday in the auditorium of Belleville High School at 7 p.m. According to an announcement on the Belleville Schools website, the meeting will address personnel issues.
On Friday, Nutley offers “Hotel Transylvania” as the start of its weekly movie under the stars.
