Where Can I Get Ashes in Nutley and Belleville?

Wednesday, Feb. 13, is Ash Wednesday, which marks the start of the Lenten season leading up to Easter in the Christian calendar.

Listed below are some of the houses of worship offering ashes and services:

St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 155 William St., Belleville: Masses at 9 am, noon, 6:30 pm and 8 pm (Spanish). A Liturgy of the Word is scheduled for 3:30 pm which will include imposition of the ashes.

Vincent United Methodist Church, 100 Vincent Pl., Nutley: 7:30 pm service with chancel choir sing

Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 28 Brookline Ave., Nutley: Masses at 7 am, 8:45 am, noon and 7 pm. Concelebrated and bilingual service at 4 pm.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 158 Vreeland Ave., Nutley: 7 am and noon
