Wreaths Across America Will Honor Veterans In Belleville, Bloomfield

BELLEVILLE, NJ — An annual event that commemorates military veterans in Essex County will return this year for the holidays.

The Belleville Historical Society will hold its 2023 Wreaths Across America Day event on Saturday, Dec. 16 at St. Peter's Church in Belleville at noon, and Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield at 1:30 p.m.

According to a news release, the society will join volunteers nationwide to put wreaths at veteran sites at more than 4,000 locations. The group expects to set nearly 500 wreaths on the graves of all of the veterans buried at St. Peter's and Glendale.
