Bedminster Twp. Committee to Discuss Cable Agreement Again, Bernardsville Library Trustees to Meet This Week

The Bedminster Township Committee reconvenes this Monday evening, with at least one longstanding issue on the agenda — how to fashion a renewal of the franchise license for Cablevision of Raritan Valley, which serves The Hills area.

Township officials are asking for residents to provide any input on their feelings about Cablevision's service and other issues such as pricing before the current license agreement expires at the end of the year.

The Township Committee meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Monday at the municipal building at 1 Miller Lane in Bedminster.

Over in Bernardsville, the Bernardsville Library Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at borough hall at 166 Mine Brook Road.

The library board just last week announced that Anne Meany, who had retired about a year and a half ago from her position as director of the Bernards Township Library, will return to the Bernardsville Public Library as interim director. Meany held the position of library director in Bernardsville in the 90s. She will step in prior to the departure of current director Karen Brodsky at the end of this month.

Brodsky is leaving to take the directorship of the Library of the Chathams.

Other meetings coming up this week include:

The Bedminster Township Environmental Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the municipal building at 1 Miller Lane.

The Bernardsville Planning Board is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Borough Hall at 166 Mine Brook Road in Bernardsville.
