Bernardsville Library Director Resigns to Head Chathams Library

Although it was announced on Thursday that Bernardsville Public Library's executive director, Karen H. Brodsky, has been chosen to serve as the new director of the Library of the Chathams starting on Sept. 1. Brodsky said she will remain at the Bernardsville Library through Aug. 31.

Bolandi Returning as Acting Schools Superintendent in Bedminster

Perhaps not surprisingly, Ronald Bolandi, who served as acting superintendent in Bedminster Township Public School earlier this year, will be returning to that position. The Board of Education voted on Thursday to hire Bolandi as acting superintendent at a $520 per diem rate to fill the position created by the resignation of Carolyn Koos after just 11 months in the position.

New Name, More Information for 'African Burying Ground'

A new name was chosen recently by the Bedminster Township Historic Preservation Commission — the "African Burying Ground," based on old church records, for a small cemetery for the Bedminster area's black residents that the Township Committee has voted to preserve. Additional research is uncovering new information.

Motorist Extricated from Flipped SUV After Reportedly Losing Control of Vehicle

A Phillipsburg woman driving in an SUV that had flipped multiple times on I-78 westbound in Bedminster shortly before 8 a.m. on Monday morning was extricated by the Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department within five to six minutes, said Assistant Fire Chief Brian Bassett. The woman suffered head injuries and was transported to Morristown Medical Center by a state police medical helicopter.

Billboards Going Up In Search For Missing Bedminster Man

As the search for a Bedminster man missing since June 20 continues, an organization known as LostNMissing is arranging for placement of two billboards in Fort Lee and Hoboken since it appears that Roger Temple, 44, may have headed in that direction last month.
