Bernardsville Pool's Full-Time Hours Begin This Week
Openings remain for sign-ups for swim lessons and swim team.

The last day of school in the Somerset Hills school district heralds another event at the Bernardsville pool — weekday hours on Thursday, when school ends, and full time hours starting this Friday, June 21.
The municipal pool, located off Seney Drive, across from the has been open part-time hours since Memorial Day.
On Thursday, after school is dismissed for the summer, students virtually can head over to the pool, due to be open that day from 1 to 6 p.m., according to information on the Bernardsville Borough website.

Full-time hours begin at 11 a.m. this Friday, according to Cheryl Ferrante, the borough's recreation director.
When the full-time hours kick in, the main pool and wading pool will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays, according to the pool schedule printed online.

The baby and wading pool will be open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 pm. starting Friday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and after swim lessons end on Aug. 2. The Sunday hours are the same.
The pool will begin closing at 7:30 p.m. nightly starting Aug. 11, the schedule said.
Openings available for swim lessons, swim team and memberships
Meanwhile, Ferrante said that swimming lessons for multiple levels will begin on Monday — and openings still are available for several classes.
There will be three sessions of swimming lessons, each two weeks apiece, she said.
Memberships also are available, she said. Those who wish to join swim team must be members of the pool, the website said.

The recreation department is located at borough hall, at 166 Mine Brook Road, Basking Ridge.
The pool also offers a snack bar and planned programs such as water slimnastics for adults, games and fun for the children, and ping-pong at no charge. Special events held during the season include Family Day, Teen Water Basketball and movie nights. Parties also may be arranged for the picnic area.
