Alleged Plagiarism By Superintendent a 'Mistake'
Board of Ed said in a statement it has addressed the issue, 'satisfied' it won't happen again.

The board of education has discussed the concerns of possible plagiarism with Superintendent Carolyn Koos and are satisfied she understands the mistake, according to a statement from board president Louis Casella.
Casella said the board, with full cooperation from Koos, has reviewed the issues surrounding two letters sent to the Bedminster community that were found to be possibly plagiarized from other superintendents.
In the first, concerning a letter posted just after the new year, Koos has said it was a case of making a mistake with regard to attribution of the words taken from a superintendent in Iowa.

"The board has fully expressed and discussed its concerns with the superintendent and is satisfied that she understands her mistake and will not repeat it," he said. "Superintendent Koos has apologized for any adverse effect this may have had on the district."
Casella said the board has directed the superintendent to implement a protocol for how to put together future information that is disseminated from her office in an effort to avoid having this happen again.
"Bedminster community school district and Superintendent Koos, as always, are committed to the highest standards of education for the children of our community," he said. "We look forward to continuing to build a great learning community."
