Country Club Road in Bedminster to be Paved
But some residents might like the bumpy conditions.

Not everyone may be happy about it, but the Bedminster Township Committee has hired a contractor to resurface Country Club Road and smooth out the bumps.
The Township Committee on Monday night voted 4-0 to award a contract for $396,524 to Fischer Contracting Inc.
The contract calls for a 3-inch new surface on the road, said John Mantz, principal public works manager for Bedminster.
"Some neighbors may be happy that Country Club Road is being paved, and some are not, but we are moving ahead," said Mayor Steve Parker.
Parker later explained that some residents want to keep the road bumpy in order to slow traffic.
He added that the road, linking Burnt Mills Road with Route 22 to the south, is likely to receive more traffic during work on highway bridges on nearby Route 287 and 78, scheduled for 2014. Some drivers seeking to avoid that work inevitably will travel on Country Club Road, he said.
Parker said he does not know when construction is scheduled to begin.
