Democratic Candidates Thank Township for Support

To the Editor:

Now that the final vote has been tallied, we are writing to congratulate Steve Parker and Larry Jacobs on their election to the Bedminster Township Committee. We wish them success in governing the town that we all love.  We ran for office in the interest of preserving two-party government in Bedminster and will continue to work toward that end as the “loyal opposition.”

A heartfelt, special “thank you” goes out to our dear families who selflessly gave of themselves in order to support us during our campaign. There is no way to put in words what that support meant to us.

We also thank all of our supporters, volunteers and contributors who breathed life into our campaign through their donations, their ideas, their time and their encouragement. It was an honor and a privilege to be your candidates for Bedminster Township Committee.

Although the election has ended, we will continue to support openness and transparency in government. We believe that our democracy deserves and requires nothing less.
