Earth Week Tops News This Week

Meetings scheduled throughout Bernardsville and Bedminster.

It's Monday, the start of another work-week, the end of the weekend, and that can only mean one thing—it's time to look ahead to the week at hand.

It's going to be busy in Bernardsville and Bedminster, and we've got your list of things to look out for, from meetings to school activities and everything in between.

This week is Earth Week at Bedwell Elementary School, and students are encouraged to wear different colors each day to represent different aspects of the world.

Students should wear blue Monday for water, yellow Tuesday for energy, green Wednesday for earth, white Thursday for air and animal print Friday for endangered species.

Coming up this week:

  • The Bernardsville Borough Council will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
  • The Bernardsville Planning Board will hold a meeting Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
  • Bernards High School will be holding its Battle of the Bands Friday at 7 p.m. at the high school on Olcott Avenue.
  • Bedminster Township will be holding its Bulky Waste Disposal Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the public works building on Miller Lane.
