Enjoy Activities Close to Home on A Summer's Day
Libraries provide a break and a little mental stimulation on summer days.

It's summer, and there are lots of things for you and your kids to do on Tuesday without even leaving town.
Take advantage of warm days to hit the Bernardsville Pool, located off Seney Drive in the borough. It may be warm enough to swim, but you can also perhaps hit a tennis ball at the same recreational complex, or throw a ball at nearby athletic fields at the Upper Polo Grounds.
Meanwhile, the Bernardsville Public Library is offering an improv workshop for pre-teens at 6:30 p.m. at the library, located at 1 Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville.
Grades 4 to 6 can learn the art of improvisation from an instructor from Annie's Playhouse. The workshop is free, and no sign-up is needed.
In Bedminster, you can head over the Clarence Dillon Public Library, at 2336 Lamington Road, to see the movie "Babette's Feast" at 6:45 p.m.
The mystical 1987 film, rated G, evokes the story of two sisters living on the coast of Denmark who have their lives changed by the arrival of a mysterious stranger. The movie is from a story by Isak Dinesen, in Danish and French with English subtitles. For more information, call 908-234-2325.
