Meryl Streep's Teen-Years Bernardsville Home Will Be Up For Sale

The house has had multiple owners, including the current ones, Beth and Dennis McConnell​, who have lived there for the past 32 years.

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — The Bernardsville house where Meryl Streep spent her adolescence is hitting the market, according to Mycentraljersey.com.

The house has had multiple owners, including the current ones, Beth and Dennis McConnell, who have lived there for the past 32 years, the publication wrote.

Born in 1949, Streep grew up in Basking Ridge and then moved with her family to Bernardsville in 1963 when she was a teenager, according to mrlocalhistory.org. She attended Cedar Hill Elementary School in Basking Ridge and graduated from Bernards High School.

"Our home is best known as the 'Meryl Streep' home since her parents built the house and Meryl attended school in Bernardsville," Beth McConnell wrote on Facebook.

According to the post, the four-bedroom and 1¾-acre renovated property is located between Old Fort and Old Army Roads, and the owners are looking to sell for $949,000.

McConnell boasts that the house has a very private location yet is within walking distance to town.

It also includes radiant heat, central vacuum, a sprinkler system, an alarm system, outdoor shower, "Rocky Mountain" hardware on all exterior doors, a custom-made Spanish cedar front door and garage doors.

"We hope another family will love our home as much as we have," McConnell wrote.
