Alleged Drug Deal Foiled, Peapack Woman Arrested
32-year-old accused of driving Newark man carrying 99 bags of heroin and crack cocaine to drug deal in Hunterdon County, authorities say.

A Peapack woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly transported a Newark man carrying 100 bags of heroin and crack cocaine to a drug delivery in Clinton Township, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns.
Emma Lefkowitz, 32, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. She was released on her own recognizance.
Lefkowitz is accused of driving Wade McFadden Jr., 45, from Newark to a drug deal at the Fountain Motel on Route 22 in Clinton Township, Kearns said.

McFadden, of Newark, was also arrested Thursday while attempting to deliver 99 bags of heroin and a quantity of crack cocaine to the motel, Kearns said.
He was arrested by members of the Clinton Township Police Department in conjunction with the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force, Kearns said.

McFadden was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police also discovered McFadden was wanted by the Essex County Sheriff's Office for robbery and child neglect, Kearns said.
McFadden's bail was set at $20,000, and he was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail.
"This investigation demonstrates a connection between Newark and Hunterdon County, and shows the willingness of drug dealers to traffic heroin and crack cocaine here," Kearns said in the prosecutor's office statement.
