Bedminster's Temple Found Safe, Will be Reunited with Family

After many tense weeks since June, during which chances of safely locating Roger Temple from Bedminster may have seemed to be dwindling, Temple, 44, was spotted by Port Authority PD at a small park on the New York side of the George Washington Bridge at around 9:30 p.m. last Sunday. "Port Authority officers recognized him from a distributed flier," Bedminster police Chief Pat Ussery said Monday morning. Temple was described as "exhausted" but "safe" and was hospitalized after being found, according to the Missing Roger Temple Facebook page

Turf Field Will Not Go to Voters, As Bernardsville Council Approves Spending $1.2M

The Bernardsville Borough Council has approved spending $1.2 million to install artificial turf at the Upper Polo Grounds, and no referendum will be held to ask voters whether to take the money from the borough’s open space funds.

She's coming back. Anne Meany, who retired about a year and a half ago from being director of the Bernards Township Library in Basking Ridge, will return this month to fill in as interim director of the Bernardsville Public Library. But Meany already was Bernardsville's library director in the 90s.

AT&T in Bedminster is researching a way to use ordinary utility poles,  about 22 feet high, to possibly replace cell phone towers.
