Somerset County Sheriff's K-9 Unit Receives Microchip Donation
The Somerset County Sheriff's Office received the donation from a local veterinary group.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office announced it received a donation of microchips for its K-9 unit from a local veterinary group.
Somerset County Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano thanked the Somerset Veterinary Group of Bridgewater and Pluckemin for microchipping the three county Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit dogs.
“The microchip donation, along with the GPS tracking collar the canines wear, will ensure that these valuable work dogs will be returned if they are separated from their handlers,” Sheriff Provenzano said in a release from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office. “The tracking chip enables any veterinarian to scan the animal to determine its owner.”
