Stay off Roads During Storm, Cops Say
Chief Pat Ussery said the always repeated suggestions hold true today.

With the National Weather Service calling for around 10 inches of snow to possibly blanket the area, Bedminster Township Police are advising people to stay off the roads during the height of the storm.
Bedminster Township Police Chief Pat Ussery said he cannot say anything about the impending storm accept the often repeated suggestions for staying safe.
"Keep unnecessary travel to a minimum and set up generators well away from windows and ventilation," he said.

Plus, Ussery said, there is a concern about wind.
"I'm sure we're all concerned about the expected winds tonight, and the possibility of power loss," he said.

By noon, Ussery said, the roads remained in pretty good shape, but he said there are some slippery conditions on the side roads.
"I would ask all residents who live on roads maintained by public plows to make sure to park their vehicles off of the roadways so that public service can better clear them," he said.
