Finally, Clear Skies for Sounds Around Town

Perfect weather for twice-rescheduled musical event and street fair in Bernardsville.

The third time was the charm for : Saturday was clear as a bell, and a perfect opportunity for residents to hear all sorts of music, meet friends and sample good things to eat and drink.

The event is sponsored by the Bernardsville Chamber of Commerce, and many local businesses stayed open late that evening to welcome those strolling at Sounds Around Town.

Music ranged from oldies to jazz, to good old rock and performances by the Preschool of Rock and Bernards High School students.

Kim and Todd O'Malley were enjoying the Brynn Stanley Trio near the start of the event, and said they had attended earlier Sounds Around Town events, held once or twice annually in the past few years.

"We've got to get people pumped up about being in town and supporting our local businesses Kim O'Malley said. She noted it had taken three times for the chamber to be able to find an evening without rain told hold Sounds Around Town — "The third time was the charm," she observed.
