"Like your own Secret Garden. Hardly ever run into another person when visiting. They've greatly improved the Gardens over the last decade. You can also access Patriots path and The National Park hiking from the parking lot. Shhh…Keep it secret…"
2. Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary: Fantastic place for bird watchers, but beware of other animals.

"If you are a bird lover, the Audubon's facility here is excellent. Most of the year (but not in the summer, bears are a problem then), their bird feeder is visited by only upscale birds - no pigeons or house finches, which are all town birds. The regulars are chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, and sometimes wrens seldom seen in NJ (we used to see them in our town backyard, but no longer). We once saw three pileated woodpeckers on the walk down to their beautiful stream, which originates on the property, and is absolutely clear and pure. Very rare, a once in a lifetime sighting. Probably the most unspoiled area within 50 miles of New York city."
3. Peony's Envy: A garden worth to behold.
One reviewer from Somerset, NJ said
"This place is a Nursery as well as a view-able flower garden. It is surrounded by a lush green wooded area that seems to be coming right out of a storybook. We had seen the owner featured on a Martha Stewart show, and had immediately listed this place on our bucket list at that time. We are immensely glad that we finally got to see this spectacular Peony Paradise. We did not get to meet the owner during this visit, but talked to an extremely pleasant lady there who answered a lot of our questions, and patiently taught us a lot about this temperamental plant with its short-lived flowers. We bought a few plants for our home garden. For an entrance fee of $5 per person, we were able to see hundreds and hundreds of absolutely gorgeous herbaceous Peonies in every size, shape, color and variety, -- all spread out over quite a large area. The fragrance, the arbors, the chairs and the benches scattered everywhere gave the whole place a Zen-like feel.It was wonderful that we were able to time our visit with the blooming of those flowers. What an educational trip it was for us!"
4. The Station: Looking for a good burger and beer in Bernardsville, The Station is the most recommended on TripAdvisor.
One reviewer from Princeton, NJ said:
"I recently went to the Station for Happy Hour. I hadn't been there in about 3 years and was blown away by the remodel. It's the perfect cozy downtown bar. The bartenders were attentive and the food was delicious. They have various specials throughout the week along with a great happy hour menu.I'm definitely going back! I would recommend the station to everyone who is looking for a small town bar with good vibes."
5. Bernardsville Cinema 3: With all the streaming services out there, it is always good to get out to a local theater.
One reviewer from Morristown, NJ said
"This nice older theater actually offers reduced movie prices on Tuesdays, and that’s when my wife and I went to the movies here this past week. It’s hard to beat $7 for the latest movies, so we will be back to see more. Parking on the streets and in some lots do have 2 hour time limits, but no meters to fill."
