1,500 Lose Power In Bloomfield, PSEG Reports (See Restoration Time)

More than 1,500 PSE&G customers near the northern portion of Broughton Avenue experienced a power outage on Tuesday evening.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — More than 1,500 PSE&G customers in Bloomfield lost power on Tuesday. The estimated restoration time is 8 p.m., the utility company reported.

According to PSE&G’s online outage map, 1,564 customers lost electricity near the northern portion of Broughton Avenue. The outage began at 6:15 p.m. and the cause is still under investigation.

Bloomfield residents can report an outage to PSE&G by texting OUT to 4PSEG (47734), report it online, through the mobile app, or by calling 1-800-436-PSEG (7734). People can check the status of an outage by texting STAT to 4PSEG (47734), calling 1-800-436-PSEG (7734) or viewing the online map.
