2 Home Burglaries Reported In Bloomfield: Police
A Bloomfield resident saw that her neighbor's front door was open – but knew they were on vacation, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two home burglaries were recently reported in Bloomfield, authorities say.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Feb. 28 – “Officers responded to the area of Lobell Court on report of a burglary. A resident noticed her neighbor’s front door open, however the neighbor was on vacation. Officers arrived and noticed the door wide open and muddy footprints on the door. The door frame and door jamb were also damaged. The resident called the neighbor on video chat and it appeared that nothing was missing from the apartment at this time. This incident is under investigation.”

March 2 – “Officers responded to the area of Evergreen Avenue on report of a burglary. A resident heard a noise coming from the first floor of the home. Officers arrived and noticed that the front window to the home was damaged and appeared to have been pried open. There was nothing reported missing from the residence at this time. This incident is under investigation.”
