2 Stolen Cars In Bloomfield Were Left Running And Unlocked: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two vehicles were stolen in Bloomfield on the same day last week. Both were left unlocked and running, police said.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about the thefts, which took place on Nov. 13:

LEWIS STREET – “Officers responded to the area of Lewis Street on report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident left his vehicle unlocked and running while he went inside his residence and when he returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a gray 2020 Acura RDX, was entered stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

AMPERE PARKWAY – “Officers responded to the 200-block of Ampere Parkway on report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident left her vehicle unlocked and running while she went inside her residence then when she returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a white 2021 Toyota Rav4, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
