3 More Car Thefts In Bloomfield, Police Report (Here’s Where)

A BMW owner went to a body shop to pick up his car, but it was missing, police say. See details about two other recent vehicle thefts.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Three more car thefts were recently reported in Bloomfield, police say.

The Bloomfield Police Department released details about several recent car thefts on Thursday. The list included:

  • Dec. 31 – “Officers responded to 400 Bloomfield Avenue (Ajar Auto Body) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant arrived at the body shop to pick up his vehicle, however the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a white 2020 BMW 3 series, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
  • Dec. 31 – “Officers responded to the area of Beardsley Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant parked her vehicle on the street while visiting a friend. When she returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a white 2018 Toyota Corolla, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
  • Jan. 4 – “Officers responded to 630 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant left his vehicle unlocked and running while he went inside the store. When he returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a white 2015 BMW 428i, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

The latest thefts aren’t the only vehicles that have been stolen in Bloomfield in recent weeks.
