4 Cars Stolen In Bloomfield In 1 Week: Police

Four vehicles were stolen last week in Bloomfield. Here's where the thefts took place, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Four vehicles were stolen last week in Bloomfield, authorities announced Friday.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each theft:

July 29 – “Officers responded to the 100-block of Newark Avenue on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. The complainant left his vehicle running while he crossed the street to get and item from another vehicle. A black Maserati then pulled up, a male exited the Maserati and took the running vehicle. The vehicle, a blue 2018 BMW X3, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

July 31 – “Officers responded to the 200-block of Belleville Avenue on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. A resident parked his vehicle in the parking lot at 9:30 p.m. and when he returned at 4:00a.m., it was missing. The passenger side window had been removed and left on the ground. The vehicle, a red 2018 Dodge Charger, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

Aug. 2 – “Officers responded to the 200-block of Hoover Avenue on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. A resident parked his vehicle in the parking lot and when he returned at 4 a.m., he noticed it was missing. The vehicle, a gray 2023 Acura TLX, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

Aug. 2 – “Officers responded to the 100-block of Hoover Avenue on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. The complainant parked his vehicle on the street overnight, and when he returned the following afternoon, he noticed it was missing. The vehicle, a white 2018 Honda Accord, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
