4 Stolen Cars In Bloomfield Included 3 Left Running: Police
Two of the thefts took place outside a convenience store, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Four vehicle thefts were recently reported in Bloomfield, with three of them involving cars left running, authorities said.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Sept. 30 – “Officers responded to the area of Ampere Parkway and Chester Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident left his vehicle parked and running when a black sedan pulled up. A male exited the sedan, entered the complainant’s vehicle, and fled the area. The vehicle, a white 2017 Honda Pilot, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

Oct. 2 – “Officers responded to 122 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant left his parked and running in the parking lot when a black Mercedes SUV and gray Toyota SUV pulled up. A male exited the passenger side of one of the vehicles, entered his Nissan, and fled the area. The vehicle, a gray 2011 Nissan Maxima, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
Oct. 5 – “Officers responded to the area of Spring Street on report of a motor vehicle theft. A resident parked his vehicle in front of his residence overnight and when he returned the following morning, he noticed it was missing. The vehicle, a white 2009 Ford van, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”

Oct. 6 – “Officers responded to 122 Bloomfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant left his vehicle parked and running in the parking lot while he went inside the store. When he returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a gray 2011 Nissan Maxima, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
