Bloomfield Center HarvestFest Will Feature Food, Music, Vendors, Kids Activities
The Bloomfield Center Alliance is once again hosting its annual fall celebration: "HarvestFest."

The Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) is once again hosting its annual fall celebration: HarvestFest. It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 11 from noon to 6 p.m. along the first blocks of Glenwood Avenue and Washington Street (Rain Date Sunday, Oct. 12).
This friendly family event is free to attend and will bring great food, awesome entertainment, and shopping opportunities to the heart of Bloomfield’s central business district. Thanks to the support of Mayor Jenny Mundell and the township administration, parking at meters around the Center and in the Glenwood Parking Garage will be free.

Highlights will include:
- DJ and Live Entertainment - The main stage will feature DJ Midnite who will spin popular tunes and entertain the crowd. The day will also feature two great bands including local rock group Fade to Suede (12:15 to 1:45 p.m.) and Latin trio Son De Tres (4 to 5:30 p.m.).
- Kids’ Corner - Set up at the end of Washington Street, this area will feature bouncy houses, face painters, and photo booths.
- Local Vendors and Delicious Eats - Shop the “open air” market featuring over 90 vendors and indulge in a wide variety of delicious food from local restaurants and popular food trucks.
- Harvest Fest Beer Garden - Guests 21 years and older can enjoy a variety of craft beers and select seltzers from Bloomfield Center’s own microbrewery, Varitage Brew Works.
Supporting this year’s event are a number of area businesses, including Bronze Level sponsors: Clara Maass Medical Center/RWJ Barnabas Health, Lynnes Auto Group, and PM Pediatric Care. Additionally, several businesses located in Bloomfield Center are supporting various event attractions. They include: Amazing Escape Room/Bury the Hatchet (Kid’s Corner), Jack’s Super Foodtown (Photo Booth & Music Performance), Nightjar Dispensary (Beer Garden), Public Garden Dispensary (Photo Booth), State Farm Insurance- Diane Smith (Music Performance), Varitage Brew Works (Beer Garden), and Zura Blooms Yoga (Music Performance). The BCA is also proud to welcome a first-time sponsor, PSE & G, who will have a team on hand providing energy-saving tips and handing out other helpful information.

The BCA is a nonprofit organization that works with the township of Bloomfield to promote and support its business improvement district. It administers and coordinates a number of events, projects, and programs designed to bolster the Center and increase commercial activity.
