Bloomfield Jewelry Store, Apartment Building Burglarized: Police
Officers found the front window and inside door glass of the jewelry store shattered – as well as several display cases.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two burglaries were recently reported in Bloomfield, including an incident involving a local jewelry store, police say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, a burglary was reported at a jewelry store on the 100-block of Bloomfield Avenue on Oct. 12.
Officers found the front window and inside door glass shattered. Several display cases were also found smashed, and jewelry was missing.

The value of the missing jewelry wasn’t known at the time police filed the report.

A separate burglary was reported at an apartment on Park Avenue on Oct. 9, police said.
According to police, video surveillance footage shows a man use a screwdriver to enter the front door of the building. Once inside, the man steals a package of hair extensions that had been delivered earlier in the day.
Both incidents are under investigation, police said.
