Bloomfield Pedestrian Dies After Car Hits Her On Route 46
A car-pedestrian strike in Bergen County claimed the life of a 65-year-old Essex County resident, authorities said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A car-pedestrian strike in Bergen County claimed the life of a Bloomfield resident last weekend, authorities announced Monday.
Vilma Huamani-Centeno, 65, of Bloomfield, died after a car hit her as she was trying to cross Route 46 East in Saddle Brook at 9:11 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
The driver remained at the scene, prosecutors said.
