BLOOMFIELD, NJ — They will “face consequences.” That was the statement from the town’s police chief after two “unauthorized” juveniles caused a temporary lockdown at Bloomfield High School on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Bloomfield Police Department issued an update about the lockdown, noting that two minors have been taken into custody and charged with acts of juvenile delinquency.

Police said the lockdown took place due to “unauthorized juveniles within the vicinity of the high school.” The minors are not students or Bloomfield residents.
