Bloomfield Solar Campaign candidate endorsements
To advance clean energy in Bloomfield, we need Township Council and Board of Education members who will support solar installation now.

For over nine years the Bloomfield Citizens Solar Campaign has been working to get the town and school board to save money, inspire students and take action on the climate crisis by installing solar panels on the roofs and parking lots of their buildings. We continue to work to make this happen.
One way Bloomfield citizens can help us in this work is to vote for candidates who get it on this issue. Here are the candidates we believe would be best to advance this agenda, as well as other important issues, like democracy, transparency and putting Bloomfielders first:
For Mayor: Joan Hussey, line 5C

Jane Califf, coordinator of BCSC, explained these decisions in this way:
“Based upon work we have done with several of these candidates and research and discussion with the others, we feel confident that their election would lead to better, more democratic and more transparent government bodies for Bloomfield. All of these candidates support saving taxpayer dollars and helping protect our children’s future by putting solar panels on suitable school and town buildings. They will be local elected officials who will put children, parents and all Bloomfield residents first, do what is best for our community.”
