Car Theft, Attempted Theft Reported In Bloomfield: Police
Here's where the latest incidents took place, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A car theft and an attempted theft were reported last week in Bloomfield, authorities announced Wednesday.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each incident:
May 27 – “Officers responded to 168 Bloomfield Avenue (Dirty Laundry Express) on report of an Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft. The complainant parked his vehicle in the parking lot when a gray vehicle parked next to his. The driver of the gray vehicle entered the unoccupied driver’s seat of the complainant’s vehicle and attempted to drive off. The suspect was unsuccessful and then fled in the gray vehicle. This incident is under investigation.”

May 31 – Officers responded to the 100-block of Davis Avenue on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. A resident parked his daughter’s vehicle near the residence overnight and when he returned to the area the following morning, he noticed it was missing. The vehicle, a gray 2019 Kia Forte, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.”
