Cat Adoption Event At Bloomfield Animal Shelter: Find A Forever Friend

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Animal Shelter is seeking good families for cats and dogs all year long. But this weekend, people who already had plans to welcome a new kitty into their home will get a nice little bonus: no adoption fees.

The shelter will hold a Cat Adoption Event on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bloomfield Civic Center, 84 Broad Street. Adoption fees will be waived.

According to a social media message from the shelter:

“Potential Adopters must bring a copy of their Rental/Housing Agreement, Cat Carrier, Photo ID, and are encouraged to contact AdoptAtBas@gmail.com in advance for Adoption Application (for pre-approval). Adoption fees are waived (sponsored by SOBAS) & donations of cat food, cat toys, cat litter are appreciated.”

People will get a chance to meet some seriously cute cats at the event, including Will and Harry – a pair of bonded brothers who were born at the shelter in May.

Other kitties who need a new home include Pippa and Kate, two sisters who will make their adoption debut on Sunday.
