BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A dog rescued from a river in Bloomfield is beginning to regain his trust for humans, a local animal shelter says.
Earlier this month, Bloomfield Police ESU and animal control officers responded to a call about a stray dog in the Second River. The dog was brought to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, which reported that he was “very shy and scared” after his ordeal.

“Hudson is no longer terrified of us and the shelter, and has begun trusting us. He lets us take him for walks and he likes to run around the yard. We are so proud of this improvement! He’s a Catalohua, estimated to be around 3-years-old and now fully vetted! He does have a long way to go regarding training and feeling 100% secure in new surroundings. Due to this, we are not comfortable adopting him to the public and will accept rescue organization offers to pull him.”
