Educator From Bloomfield Honored For ‘Empowering Teachers’

A Bloomfield resident was honored for her work as an educator at a meeting of the Essex County Board of Commissioners.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield resident was honored for her work as an educator at a recent meeting of the Essex County Board of Commissioners.

Cindy Quinones of Bloomfield, a nominee for the Governor's Educator of the Year award, was saluted for her “incredible work” at the Englewood Public School District.

“Cindy has been a dedicated and passionate educator in the Englewood Public School District since 2011, where she began her career as a Dual Language Pre-K Teacher. From the start, she discovered a deep passion for supporting young learners and their families. Her experiences in the classroom shaped her understanding of early childhood education and guided her transition into leadership as a Preschool Instructional Coach and a member of the Curriculum and Instruction Team. Cindy is committed to enhancing the educational experience for both students and educators in early childhood programs. She empowers teachers through meaningful coaching, collaborative professional development, and the implementation of inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.”
