Expensive Tools Stolen From 2 Vehicles In Bloomfield: Police

Two thefts involving expensive tools stolen from vehicles were recently reported in Bloomfield.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two thefts involving expensive tools stolen from vehicles were reported in Bloomfield last week, authorities said Friday.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each incident:

Jan. 7 – “A resident responded to Bloomfield police headquarters to report a theft from the area of Beardsley Avenue. According to the resident, on Jan. 4, various tools were taken from the metal tool box attached to the bed of his truck. The items were valued at $3,615. This incident is under investigation.”

Jan. 9 – “A resident responded to Bloomfield police headquarters to report a theft from the 100-block of North 16th Street. The resident parked his work van in front of his house overnight and when he returned the following morning, he noticed the door lock was tampered with and various tools were missing. The items were valued at $3,000. This incident is under investigation.”
