Garden State Parkway Crash In Bloomfield; 2-Mile Backup In Area: NJDOT

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A crash prompted lane closures Friday morning on the Garden State Parkway in Bloomfield, officials said.

The collision, reported at 7:39 a.m., was on the southbound side — south of Exit 149 to Route 506, said the NJ Department of Transportation. The two leftmost lanes are blocked, leaving two lanes open.

Meanwhile, there's a 2-mile backup on the northbound side nearby — between Exit 149 and Exit 150 to Hoover Avenue in Nutley, NJDOT said. All northbound lanes are open.
