BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A lost dog recently had a nerve-racking adventure in Bloomfield – but thankfully, was reunited with her owner.

According to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, a small dog was spotted at 4 p.m. near Franklin Street and Bloomfield Avenue last Thursday. Eventually, she hunkered down under a shed in a backyard on Newark Avenue.

“Fearing she would get into the river, animal control requested assistance from Bloomfield Fire HQ Engine 1,” the shelter reported.
