Man Robbed as He Leaves Dialysis Center
The following arrest information was supplied by the Bloomfield police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

ROBBERY
Aug. 1: A resident said when he exited a dialysis center on Belleville and Williamson avenues at 9:45 a.m., a man approached him from behind and stuck an unknown object into his back.
The suspect demanded the resident’s wallet and then told the resident to get into his car. The suspect then fled.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 5-foot, 6-inches tall with a medium skin-tone.
Aug. 5: A resident reported he found a cell phone on the ground at 255 Ampere Parkway.

When the phone rang, he answered it and agreed to meet the caller at 8:15 that night and return the phone.
When the resident arrived, he was handed a $10 bill as a reward. At that point two of the three suspects began to beat the resident and steal back the reward money.
The resident suffered injuries to his face and body including a broken tooth.

Aug. 6: A restaurant owner said at approximately 7:25 p.m., two men entered her restaurant at 456 Broad St. and demanded money from the register.
Both suspects patted their midsection indicating they had handguns under their shirts, the woman said.
The men took money from the register and then robbed a delivery man who was also inside the restaurant at the time.
The suspects were last seen running eastbound on Hoover Avenue.

Aug. 6: Four juveniles, who were at the Wrights Field gazebo in the park, said a man wearing a bandana approached and robbed them at gunpoint at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Two other male suspects attempted to rob two juveniles near the Berkeley Avenue overpass within the park but were unable to.
Aug. 6: A woman said at approximately 9:45 p.m., a man wearing a grey hoodie snatched her purse in the ShopRite parking lot at 1409 Broad St. The suspect fled towards Broad Acres Drive.

Aug. 7: At approximately 2:10 a.m., two residents were standing in front of 297 Ampere Parkway when they were robbed by two men walking north on the street.
During the robbery one of the suspects produced a knife and stabbed one of the residents in his chin and lower back area. The same resident was also punched in the face.
The suspects fled west on Chester Avenue and the resident was transported to the hospital.

Aug 4: The resident said at 7:21 a.m. he saw a Hispanic man driving his car on the 50 block of Prospect Street and a black female in a black Honda pushing the car with her car.
Aug 4: 2000 Honda black Civic from the 200 block of Davey Street.
Aug. 4: 1992 white Honda from the 100 block of Clair Street.
Aug. 5: 1999 white Honda Civic from the 100 block of Harrison Street.
Aug. 5: 2011 black BMW station wagon from the 100 block of Franklin Street.
ATTEMPT THEFT OF VEHICLES
Theft From Vehicles
Aug. 1: A resident said between 6:20 a.m. and 7:10 a.m., someone smashed the window of her car at Westinghouse Plaza with a rock, entered and stole a cell phone, a handbag, MP3 player and wallet.
Aug. 3: A resident said someone entered her car on the 50 block of Belleville Avenue and stole her handicap placard.
Aug. 6: A resident said her car was broken into on the 50 block of Morton Street and her insurance and registration cards were stolen.
Aug. 7: A resident said someone entered his vehicle on the 400 block of Essex Avenue and stole a Garmin GPS unit valued at $300.
Aug. 7: A resident said at 10:06 p.m., three black men broke into her vehicle on Waldo Avenue and Grove Street and stole a GPS unit and an I-pod. The resident saw the suspects and began to yell at them, but the suspects fled towards LaFrance Avenue on foot.
Aug. 7: A witness reported at 6:20 a.m. he saw two men break into the resident’s car on the 250 block of Essex Avenue and steal two tents, two sleeping bags, two pillows and two pairs of women’s shoes. The suspects arrived in two vehicles and fled the scene towards Montclair after the incident. The vehicles were described as a silver Mercedes Benz and a dark colored Toyota Camry
Aug. 7: A resident said someone had broken into his car on the 500 block of Beardsley Avenue and ransacked the interior. Nothing was reported stolen.
Aug. 7: A resident said someone broke into her car on the 200 block of Essex Avenue and stole approximately $2,000 worth of dry cleaning.
THEFT
Aug. 2: A resident said someone stole her son’s bicycle out of their backyard on Delaware Place.
Aug. 2: A woman said someone stole her son’s bicycle on Edison Street while he was on Jefferson Street.
Aug. 6: A resident said a man driving a black van stole newspapers from in front of his store at 1263 Broad St. at approximately 5:15 a.m.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
Aug. 7: A resident said someone broke the driver side mirror of her car on the 100 block of Baldwin Avenue.
Aug. 7: A resident said someone broke the driver side door handle of her car on Lewis Street.
Aug. 7: A resident said someone broke the driver side door lock on his car on Oakland Avenue and Fremont Street. The vehicle was never entered.
