BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield is likely to see snowfall over the Christmas holiday weekend, weather forecasters say.

There is a “slight chance of rain and snow” on Thursday for Christmas morning. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasters say they are seeing increased odds of snowfall late Friday into Saturday morning. Travel disruptions are “likely” for the region.

Christmas Day: A slight chance of rain and snow before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 21. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. North wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of snow after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. North wind around 7 mph becoming east in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Snow. Low around 23. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

Saturday: Snow likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Sunday: Rain likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Sunday Night: Rain, mainly before 1am. Low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
