Massive Thanksgiving Food Drive In Bloomfield Is A Big Success
Hundreds of Bloomfield families will have a Thanksgiving meal on the table this year thanks to a local holiday food giveaway.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Hundreds of Bloomfield families will have a Thanksgiving meal on the table this year thanks to a holiday food giveaway that took place in the township earlier this week.
According to a social media post from the township, 750 local families received Thanksgiving meals during the event – including Turkeys and all the fixings.
Mayor Jenny Mundell thanked several groups, businesses, township departments and volunteers for their help this year. She wrote:

“As always, our incredible Township of Bloomfield Department of Human Services poured themselves into organizing the event, gathering donations, and contacting people. The Township of Bloomfield Public Works & Park Maintenance and the Bloomfield Police Department always execute the logistics like the pros they are. Bloomfield Fire Department and so many other township departments joined in to lend a hand. And then there are our volunteers! From Girl Scout Troop 20340 to the K-Kids from Demarest School to our own kids to Assemblyman Mike Venezia to Commissioners Brendan Gill and Len Luciano to our entire town council to members of our community…thank you for YOUR hands and hearts!
