Multiple Package Thefts In Bloomfield; Cops Arrest Suspect
Bloomfield police arrested a man who is accused of nine separate package thefts.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police arrested a man accused of multiple package thefts this week.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers have been investigating several reports of package thefts, with proceeds valued over $700.
Detectives reviewed video surveillance from nine separate thefts, eventually determining that same suspect had committed the crimes.

“Patrol units had prior interactions with an individual who matched the description and had obtained the person’s information,” police said. “Detectives were able to identify the suspect based on the interaction with patrol units.”
Police issued a warrant for Raymond Tucker, 55, of Newark. He was arrested on Wednesday, authorities said.
